Champions PSV Eindhoven ended 2007 on top of the Eredivisie as a 2-0 win against NAC Breda allowed them to move above Feyenoord on goal difference after the previous leaders were held at SC Heerenveen.

PSV progress
PSV overcame NAC 2-0 in Eindhoven, Danny Koevermans and Kenneth Perez scoring late in each half to earn a victory that took their side on to 36 points, level with Feyenoord. The Rotterdam club had taken the lead early in the first half at Heerenveen thanks to an Andwele Slory goal, only for Gerald Sibon to reply with a brilliant free-kick three minutes from the end to earn the home side a point.

Ajax held
AFC Ajax are third on 33 points having twice led at VVV Venlo through Luis Suárez and Klaas Jan Huntelaar only for Rachid Ofrany and Sandro Calabro to equalise on each occasion. FC Twente are fifth following a 2-0 win against De Graafschap achieved thanks to first-half strikes from Stein Huysegems and Blaise N'Kufo and lie a point behind Ajax and FC Groningen, 3-1 winners at Sparta Rotterdam on Saturday. Ten-man AZ Alkmaar overcame Heracles Almelo while Rydell Poepon's hat-trick helped bottom side Willem II defeat NEC Nijmegen, who ended with nine players.
