Valuable experience
The 24-year-old former FC Girondins de Bordeaux defender played five times in the UEFA Cup and seven in the Premier League after joining Bolton in July but was unhappy at a lack of first-team opportunities. "I really wanted to come back to France but I appreciated experiencing life in another big league," he said. After their 1-0 weekend win at RC Strasbourg, Nice are fifth in Ligue 1, vying for a European spot after an eight-game unbeaten. Now 15th in the 20-team English top flight, Bolton meet Club Atlético de Madrid in the UEFA Cup Round of 32 in February.
