Le Mans newcomers
The 29-year-old central defender left CR Vasco da Gama in 2003 to join FC Saturn Moskovskaya Oblast, moving on to Spartak in 2006. He joins a raft of newcomers at Le Mans, including 28-year-old midfielder Saber Ben Frej from Tunisian side ES Sahel, also on a two-and-a-half year contract. The 22-year-old Benin-born midfielder Khaled Adénon has signed a three-and-a-half year deal after leaving Ivorian side ASEC Abidjan while 19-year-old Brazilian Marcos Paulo has signed a three-year contract, although he will start his career with Ligue 1's seveth-placed side in the reserves.
