Valladolid strengthen for run-in

Real Valladolid CF have bolstered their squad with two new loan signings, bringing in Argentinian youngster Marcos Sebastián Aguirre and Bulgarian international striker Vladimir Manchev.

Back in the Spanish top flight after a three-year absence, José Luis Mendilibar's side are tenth after 21 games, though only five points above the relegation zone and so reinforcements have been brought in. The 23-year-old Aguirre joins on loan from CA Lanús until the end of the season after winning the Apertura with the Argentinian side, a replacement for Fabián Estoyanoff who has joined CA Peñarol. Meanwhile Manchev, 30, arrives from RC Celta de Vigo in a similar deal, returning to the club he spent the second half of last season with.
