Newcastle United FC defender David Rozehnal has signed for S.S. Lazio on loan for the remainder of the season – just seven months after joining the Premier League side.
Short stay only
Rozehnal, 27, moved to the north-east of England in June from Paris Saint-Germain FC for a €3.9m fee and made 21 top-flight appearances in the first half of the campaign. The Czech international will fill the gap created at the Stadio Olimpico by Guglielmo Stendardo's loan transfer to Lazio's Serie A rivals Juventus.
Arrival from Atalanta
Meanwhile, Newcastle are reported to have secured the signature of Atalanta BC's Fabio Zamblera on a four-year contract. The 17-year-old striker, who is believed to be costing €400,000, is a member of the Bergamo club's youth team and has yet to make a senior appearance.
