Article body
A second-half Luca Toni hat-trick ensured FC Bayern München won 3-0 at Hannover 96 to remain in control at the top of the Bundesliga.
Three-point lead
Werder Bremen's 2-0 defeat of 1. FC Nürnberg on Saturday had wiped out Bayern's three-point lead, but that advantage is back in place again tonight. However, it was not until the 58th minute that Toni was able to break the deadlock, although once he did a second goal followed within six minutes and he completed his treble near the end.
Hamburg rise
In the other Sunday fixture, Hamburger SV beat VfL Bochum 1848 by the same scoreline as a first-half Ivica Olić goal was added to by David Jarolím efforts on 65 and 71 minutes. Hamburg are up to third, two points clear of Bayer 04 Leverkusen and FC Schalke 04 who both failed to win this weekend.
