Four clubs have received fines from UEFA's Control and Disciplinary Body following crowd incidents at UEFA Cup Round of 32 matches last month.
Atlético and Bolton
Spanish side Club Atlético de Madrid have been fined CHF 30,000 (€19,206) and English opponents Bolton Wanderers FC CHF 10,000 (€6,401) for incidents at the Round of 32 second-leg game in Spain on 21 February. Atlético were punished for the throwing of missiles and fireworks by spectators, crowd disturbances and insufficient organisation, while Bolton were fined for crowd disturbances. Both clubs may lodge appeals within three days of receipt of the grounds for the decision.
Brann and Everton
In another case, Norwegian team SK Brann were handed a CHF 15,000 (€9,611) fine, and English representatives Everton FC were fined CHF 5,000 (€3,200) following incidents at their Round of 32 first-leg game in Norway on 13 February. Both clubs were fined for pitch invasions by spectators and the throwing of missiles and fireworks. Brann may appeal within three days of receipt of the grounds for the decision, while Everton's decision is final.
Lyon penalised
Meanwhile, Ligue 1 side Olympique Lyonnais have received a CHF 5,000 (€3,200) fine from UEFA for incidents of an unsporting nature at their UEFA Champions League first knockout round tie against Manchester United FC in France on 20 February. The decision is final.
Zenit-OM case postponed
The hearing in the case involving the alleged racial abuse of Olympique de Marseille players by spectators at the UEFA Cup Round of 16 match against FC Zenit St. Petersburg in Russia on 12 March has been postponed until the next meeting. A disciplinary inspector has been mandated to conduct further investigations.
