English success
Galway are currently bottom of the Irish table with just one point from seven games having dismissed previous manager Tony Cousins at the beginning of April. Dublin-born Kenna, 37, has now come to Terryland Park on a three-year contract, after a spell playing with English non-league outfit Kidderminster Harriers FC. "I am aware of the task involved, I am eager to get going and hopefully we can get as many points on board as quickly as possible and move up the table," Kenna said. "I saw a DVD of recent games and I saw some decent performances, I saw things we can work on. We didn't look like a team who were bottom of the league and I was impressed with what I saw." A Premier League winner with Blackburn Rovers FC in 1994/95, Kenna won 27 caps for Ireland from 1995 to 1999 and also played for Southampton FC, Birmingham City FC and Derby County FC.
