FC Vaduz remain on course for a league and cup double after retaining the Liechtenstein Cup with a 4-0 defeat of FC Balzers.

Promotion hope
Vaduz scored two goals in each half at the Rheinpark Stadion to lift the trophy, which they will hope to supplement by winning the Swiss Challenge League later this month. Heinz Hermann's team lead Switzerland's second division and are well-placed for promotion to the top flight with three games remaining.

UEFA Cup ticket
The first part of the double was all but sealed within 37 minutes as Tim Grossklaus (29) and Gasper put Vaduz in command. Their superiority never waned and further strikes from Gasper (59) and Alexandre (81) confirmed Vaduz's 37th success in the competition. The win also earned the club a spot in the 2008/09 UEFA Cup first qualifying round.
