Ten titles could fall in weekend gold rush

Ten league titles can be won this weekend, with European giants FC Bayern München and Real Madrid CF expected to be quaffing champagne by Sunday night.

Bayern closer
With four games to go in the Bundesliga, Bayern stand 12 points clear at the top of the table, and either a draw or a win at VfL Wolfsburg on Sunday would see them take their 21st German title. They could even claim the crown without kicking a ball provided that Werder Bremen and FC Schalke 04 both drop points in their league fixtures on Saturday, at home to FC Energie Cottbus and Hannover 96 respectively.

Pamplona trip
In Spain, only Villarreal CF can catch Madrid, but with a ten-point gap to bridge and just four games remaining, that looks unlikely. Provided they can avoid a worse result at CA Osasuna than Villarreal manage in their home tie against Getafe on Sunday, Bernd Schuster's side will be celebrating the club's 31st Spanish title by the end of the weekend.

Romania permutations
The Italian and French titles can also be won this weekend, provided results favour Olympique Lyonnais and FC Internazionale Milano, and the situation is similar in Romania and Turkey. FC Steaua Bucureşti will take the Romanian crown on Sunday with a win against neighbours FC Dinamo 1948 Bucureşti if CFR 1907 Cluj drop points at home against FC Gloria Buzău on Saturday, while a Galatasaray AS win at Sivasspor on Sunday would give them the Süper Lig title if Fenerbahçe SK drop points at home against Gençlerbirliği SK on the same day.

Malta decider
Beitar Jerusalem FC could also put the final seal on the Israeli title without kicking a ball if Maccabi Netanya FC, Hapoel Ironi Kiryat Shmona FC and Bnei Sakhnin FC all drop points on Saturday. Elsewhere, FC Dinamo Tbilisi will take the Georgian title on Saturday if they beat FC Zestaponi, provided that FC WIT Georgia lose at home against capital rivals FC Ameri Tbilisi. The Maltese title can also be won, meanwhile. Marsaxlokk FC can prolong the agony by beating Birkirkara FC on Saturday, but if Valletta FC beat Floriana FC the following day, it is all over.

Czech clashes
In Prague, AC Sparta Praha can put a down payment on their eleventh title since independence with a win against 1. FC Brno on Sunday, but they will have to wait until Monday night to discover whether they can let their hair down. Should SK Slavia Praha lose at SK Sigma Olomouc that evening, Michal Bílek's side will be the champions of the Czech Repuiblic.
