A Lamine Diarra hat-trick inspired FK Partizan to a 3-0 victory against FK Zemun and the Belgrade club's tenth domestic cup triumph.
Double chances
Diarra struck after 12, 41 and 90 minutes in Belgrade, to follow up his semi-final heroics when his two goals helped defeat city rivals FK Crvena Zvezda 3-2. The cup triumph has secured the first installment of a potential domestic double as Partizan also lead the Serbian Superliga by three points from Crvena Zvezda with four matches to play.
Deadly Diarra
Partizan played the more enterprising football in the first half and gained their reward for doing so when Diarra converted crosses from Djordje Lazić and Stevan Jovetić. The second-division outfit tried to respond by committing more men forwards after the break but without any success, while Partizan were happy to let their opponents do so and play on the counterattack. That proved a fruitful tactic as Diarra grabbed his and Partizan's third of the match in added time when he headed in a Darko Maletić cross from close range.
