The eyes of the football world turn to Moscow this week, with activities on and off the field starting with the latest meeting of the UEFA Executive Committee.

Moscow meeting
UEFA President Michel Platini chairs the meeting at the Marriott Grand Hotel in Moscow, which takes place before Wednesday's UEFA Champions League final between Manchester United FC and Chelsea FC at the city's Luzhniki Stadium.

EU dialogue
UEFA's ongoing dialogue with the European Union will be discussed by the committee, which will also select the hosts for the 2010 UEFA European Women's Under-19 Championship, and approve not only the 2008 UEFA disciplinary regulations, but also the regulations of various youth competitions.

Coaching and grassroots
New members will be admitted to the UEFA Convention on the Mutual Recognition of Coaching Qualifications – which aims to protect the coaching profession and smooth the way for the free movement of labour within Europe – as well as to the UEFA Grassroots Charter, which is designed to stimulate national associations' work in the vital grassroots sector of the game.
