The 37-year-old has agreed a new 12-month contract, having previously hinted at retirement following the Dutch Cup final defeat of Roda JC last month. But the six-times Dutch international, who joined the Rotterdam team from ADO Den Haag last summer as cover for Roy Makaay and struck three goals in six cup games, has decided to play on.
Doubts dismissed
"Had I not stayed at Feyenoord, I would have quit," said the forrmer AFC Ajax trainee and Cambuur Leeuwarden, FC Twente, FC Utrecht and Rangers FC forward. "But any doubts I had turned into positive answers for me."
