Two-year deal
The 42-year-old former FC Bayern München, Werder Bremen and Hamburger SV forward has agreed a two-year contract committing him to the BayArena until the summer of 2010. Having scored 103 goals in 328 Bundesliga games, Labbadia led Greuther Fürth to sixth place in the second division in the season just ended. His new side missed out on UEFA Cup qualification by finishing seventh in Germany's top flight – costing Skibbe his job.
