Tottenham Hotspur FC have reached an agreement with FC Barcelona to sign teenage Mexico striker Giovani Dos Santos, subject to a medical and personal terms being agreed.

Teenage talent
The 19-year-old made 28 Primera División appearances last season for the Blaugrana – the majority of them as a substitute – and a further five in the UEFA Champions League, scoring four goals. Capped five times by Mexico, Dos Santos rose to prominence when he starred at the FIFA U-17 World Cup where he picked up a winner's medal and was also named as the tournament's second most impressive player. Tottenham will compete in the UEFA Cup first round next season by virtue of their English League Cup triumph in February.
