Olympique Lyonnais have announced that they have parted company with coach Alain Perrin, but midfielder Jean II Makoun is on his way to the Stade de Gerland after the French champions agreed a €14m fee with LOSC Lille Métropole.

Double success
Perrin took over at the Lyon helm 12 months ago, leading them to a first ever double, but club president Jean-Michel Aulas confirmed he a new man will be in charge next term. "He will go," he said. "He has attained some results with respect to trophies but in terms of quality it was not what we expected." The 25-year-old Makoun will also carry expectations after joining the Ligue 1 title-holders to end a long association Lille. He appeared 165 times for Les Gones, scoring nine goals. "We have tracked him for three years," admitted Aulas. "We're happy the deal could be completed now."
