Former Czech Republic striker Jan Koller has signed for Russian Premier-Liga side FC Krylya Sovetov Samara.

The towering forward, who had one year remaining on his 1. FC Nürnberg contract, has agreed an 18-month deal at his new club, moving for an undisclosed fee. Koller made 14 Bundesliga appearances last term, but could not prevent his side's relegation from Germany's top flight.
Czech bow
Following his country's UEFA EURO 2008™ exit at the hands of Turkey in their final group game, the 35-year-old drew his international career to a close. He netted once in three appearances at the finals, his 55th goal in 90 caps. Koller will link up with his former Czech Republic colleague, Jiří Jarošík, in Samara. Krylia Sovetov currently occupy sixth place in the Russian Premier League.
