Fresh start
The 24-year-old Grax arrives at the Stade Geoffroy-Guichard on a three-year contract, seeking a fresh start after an injury-ravaged campaign last term. "This is a huge challenge for me after a difficult season," said the former France Under-21 international, who struck once in 12 Ligue 1 appearances in 2007/08. "I want to bounce back here. Their style of play, the atmosphere in the stadium and qualification for the UEFA Cup all motivated me." A product of the AS Monaco FC academy, Grax is the fourth new face at St-Étienne - following the arrivals of Daisuke Matsui, David Sauget and Helton Dos Reis - as they gear up for their first European campaign (excluding the UEFA Intertoto Cup) in 26 years.
