The countdown has started. In less than a month, the EUROSCHOOLS YOUTH CAMP 2008 gets under way in Trogen (Switzerland), Steinach (Austria) and Vaduz (Liechtenstein).

'Fantastic opportunity'
Through this unique European youth get-together, 53 school delegations from Austria, Switzerland and Liechtenstein will meet school delegations from all 53 UEFA nations. For one exciting week these football crazy girls and boys will have the once in a lifetime opportunity to experience intercultural exchanges at first hand. "It's going to be a once in a Iifetime opportunity and I'm really looking forward to meeting people from other countries," said Jacob, one of the young people in the English delegation. His teacher added: "This is a fantastic opportunity to create understanding for other cultures among our pupils on and off the football field."

Final tournament
Getting to know each other and intercultural exchange form the core of the camp: for seven days the participants will live, work and play football together. In numerous workshops the youngsters will deal actively with the cultural variety of Europe through topics such as peace, children's rights and fair play, and practice several forms of intercultural communication together. The highlight of the week will be a massive fair play football tournament in the capital of Liechtenstein, Vaduz, on 18 September. EUROSCHOOLS is the official schools project of UEFA EURO 2008™.
