Fleeting absence prompts Scotland changes

Scotland manager Anna Signeul has called up two extra players for the first leg of their UEFA WOMEN'S EURO 2009™ play-off against Russia due to the one-match suspension of prolific striker Julie Fleeting.

Captain suspended
Arsenal LFC striker Fleeting, who has scored 107 goals in 105 international appearances, was booked in the 6-0 defeat of Slovakia that ensured Scotland's play-off place and will miss Sunday's encounter at Edinburgh's Tynecastle Stadium before returning for the trip to Russia on 30 October. In her place, uncapped Spartans FC forward Diana Barry and 19-year-old Celtic LFC striker Hayley Cunningham have been included for the home match, as Scotland aim to reach the finals for the first time.
