CSKA slip
PFC CSKA Moskva's 1-0 home loss to FC Spartak Moskva on Saturday left Rubin knowing that victory would take them ten points clear with three games remaining. Rubin striker Aleksandr Bukharov had the first effort on goal in the first half but was denied by goalkeeper Antonin Kinski and visiting custodian Sergei Ryzhikov saved from Leonid Kovel at the other end of the pitch.
Championship secured
Milošević came on after the interval and with 14 minutes to go Rubin were in front though Roman Adamov but Petr Nemov quickly equalised by turning in Marko Topić's cross. However, in the final minute Milošević beat Kinski to make Rubin only the third post-Soviet Russian title-winners from outside Moscow and they can look forward to a UEFA Champions League debut in 2009/10.
