Croatian club NK Dinamo Zagreb will play their first home match in a future UEFA club competition behind closed doors, with a second match deferred for a probationary period, following the closure of the appeals procedure instigated by UEFA in a case involving the conduct of Dinamo's supporters at a UEFA Cup match in December.
Incidents and fine
In December, Dinamo were fined a total of €150,000, with €50,000 deferred for a probationary three-year period, for incidents at the 2-1 loss at Udinese Calcio on 3 December.
Appeals Body decision
Following the appeal lodged by UEFA, the Appeals Body has decided to convert the sanction into an order to play the next two UEFA club competition matches behind closed doors. The second match will be deferred for a probationary period of four years. Moreover, the Croatian club has been fined €50,000. Finally, the club is also ordered to refrain from the sale of tickets to their supporters for the club's next two away matches in a future UEFA club competition.
Behind closed doors
Consequently, Dinamo Zagreb will have to play their first home match in a future UEFA club competition behind closed doors, with the second match deferred for the four-year probational period. However, should the club's supporters again be involved in crowd disturbances within four years, the Control & Disciplinary Body may order the original sanction to be executed.
