Counterattack strikes
Second in Ligue 1, Bordeaux defeated third-placed PSG 3-0 away from home. Laurent Blanc's side had beaten the capital club even more convincingly in the league within the last month – 4-0 on 11 January – but this game was more even. The visitors took the lead against the run of play when David Bellion headed in Franck Jurietti's cross. Bordeaux's last two goals, from Souleymane Diawara and Wendel, came on the counterattack as the hosts chased the game.
Spot-kicks victory
Earlier, Vannes shocked Nice as the game went to a penalty shoot-out following a 1-1 draw. Choukhi Ben Saada had equalised for Nice late in the game and with no further goals in the extra 30 minutes, it came down to spot-kicks. Kemal Bourhani was the hero for the Brittany side, striking in the winning penalty. The final will take place on 25 April at Stade de France.
