FC Dinamo Moskva have continued to strengthen for their first bid at UEFA Champions League qualifying this summer with the signing of Romanian midfielder Adrian Ropotan.

Four-year deal
The 22-year-old holding player joins from FC Dinamo 1948 Bucureşti for €3m and has agreed a contract until the end of 2012. He made his debut for the Liga 1 side in March 2006 and the following season helped them to the league title. Last November he made his senior international debut, playing the second half of a friendly against Georgia. Ropotan's arrival follows that of promising Russian left-back Sergei Terekhov and midfielder Artur Yusupov.

'Step forwards'
"I have taken a step forwards," Ropotan told GSP TV. "I hope to begin the season as a regular starter." Dinamo Moskva, third in 2008, launch their Premier-Liga campaign in mid-March against FC Moskva and will enter the 2009/10 UEFA Champions League third qualifying round on 28/29 July and 4/5 August.
