A day after the death of club legend Giacomo Bulgarelli FC Bologna battled back from a goal down to earn a valuable point away to SSC Napoli, as S.S. Lazio and Torino FC also played out a 1-1 draw.
Bulgarelli mourned
Bulgarelli inspired Bologna to their last title in 1964, but the current side's sights are set on simply staying in Serie A, and they took a step in that direction after Marco Di Vaio struck just two minutes after Christian Maggio had put Napoli in front. Napoli, without talisman Marek Hamsik, were looking to close the gap on sixth-placed Genoa CFC and broke the deadlock on 23 minutes when Maggio collected a pass from Gustavo Denis and fired past Francesco Antonioli and in at the far post. Bologna, wearing black armbands to mourn Bulgarelli's passing, were soon back on level terms, Di Vaio reacting quickest to a rebound to level the score with his league-leading 16th goal of the season.
Lazio point
In Rome, Sebastiano Siviglia struck with 15 minutes to play for Lazio as they ended their four-match losing run with a point in a 1-1 draw at home to Torino. Torino, looking to pull clear of the relegation zone, were given a boost when Ignazio Abate pounced on an error from Ousmane Dabo to rifle in his first goal of the season from 25 metres. Lazio recovered after the break to earn their point and consign Torino to a fifth straight draw when Siviglia headed in on 75 minutes. Leaders FC Internazionale Milano meet rivals AC Milan on Sunday.
