Ligue 1 frontrunners Olympique Lyonnais made light work of bottom side Le Havre AC on Sunday, stretching their lead at the top back to four points following a 3-1 home win, while Olympique de Marseille moved third by triumphing 1-0 at AS Monaco FC.

Juninho free-kick
Paris Saint-Germain FC reduced the seven-time champions' advantage to a solitary point on Saturday but Lyon were in no mood to let the pressure tell. Recording their first championship victory at the Stade de Gerland since 16 November last year, Claude Puel's men went ahead through Ederson after 34 minutes, the Brazilian forward collecting a weak clearance, slipping past Abasse Ba and firing in from close range. Kader Keita then doubled the scoreline with a curled effort ten minutes later, before Juninho Pernambucano converted yet another free-kick with 17 minutes remaining. That sealed the outcome, despite John Mensah having seen red three minutes previously and Loïc Nestor's late consolation.

Gignac decisive
The team closest to PSG are now traditional rivals Marseille, who had Bakari Koné to thank for bringing them within five points of Lyon. With 77 minutes gone at the Stade Louis II, the Ivorian striker controlled with his chest and found the far corner with a superb lob. That lifted OM ahead of Toulouse FC on goal difference, after Alain Casanova's charges had come back to prevail 2-1 at FC Sochaux-Montbéliard earlier in the day. Rabiu Afobali put Sochaux ahead on 12 minutes, only for a 34th-minute Jacques Faty own goal to level the scores before André-Pierre Gignac clinched victory on 65 minutes.
