FC Bayern München and Germany defender Philipp Lahm is widely regarded as one of the best full-backs in the world and this week he became the latest player to enter the UEFA Training Ground to give an exclusive guide on how to master his position.
Key figure
Lahm and Bayern continue to fight on two fronts this season as they chase glory in the Bundesliga and UEFA Champions League, where they face Sporting Clube de Portugal in their first knockout round second leg next Tuesday holding a 5-0 advantage from their trip to the José Alvalade Stadium. Club and country
If the 25-year-old can land another medal this term, he will supplement his collection of two Bundesliga titles, two German Cups and one League Cup with Bayern, where he has spent the last 14 years bar a two-season loan spell at VfB Stuttgart. He has also enjoyed a successful career with Germany since breaking into the senior team in February 2004, adding a runners-up medal at UEFA EURO 2008™ to a bronze from the 2006 FIFA World Cup in his homeland.
