Two second-half strikes from Bojan Krkić provided the platform for FC Barcelona's 2-0 win at UD Almería and the return of their six-point advantage over Real Madrid CF on a day when the goals flowed in the Spanish Liga.

Stars rested
Josep Guardiola decided to start with Samuel Eto'o and Thierry Henry on the bench and that decision appeared questionable during a first half in which no visiting player could find a way past inspired Almería goalkeeper Diego Alves. But Bojan, on target numerous times in the Copa del Rey and UEFA Champions League this season, settled any nerves when he scored his first league goal of the campaign by finishing calmly after Lionel Messi's effort had rebounded off the post. And, moments later, he added his second after a flowing move culminated in a heavily-deflected strike from the 18-year-old.

Two comebacks
Third-placed Sevilla FC came back from conceding two Salva goals at Málaga CF to rescue a point, but that feat was bettered by Club Atlético de Madrid as they rose to fifth. The capital side also fell two adrift, at home to Villarreal CF, with Mati Fernández and Cani doing the damage before Sergio Agüero rapidly replied to the latter effort. The visitors then had Javi Venta sent off with 25 minutes to play and failed to hold out, going down 3-2 through late strikes from Diego Forlán and Antonio López.

Entertaining games
Three other games attracted a minimum of five goals, with Real Racing Club reaching that figure inside 45 minutes during their 5-0 cruise against CD Numancia. Real Sporting de Gijón pulled away from the relegation zone with a 3-2 success against RC Deportivo La Coruña while two strugglers, RCD Espanyol and RCD Mallorca, drew 3-3 in Barcelona. Elsewhere, Real Valladolid CF beat Getafe CF 1-0 and there were no goals between Real Betis Balompié and CA Osasuna.
