Spartans success
'Mr Vic', as he was known on the island, was regarded as a visionary president and led Spartans throughout the 1980s and 1990s, with his side winning four Maltese league titles and six Maltese Cups. He was also member of the council and executive board of the Malta Football Association for a number of years. One of the island's top venues was named the Victor Tedesco stadium in honour of his work for Spartans and the game of football in Malta.
