Despite not being in the same superstar bracket as team-mates Didier Drogba, Frank Lampard and Michael Ballack, Salomon Kalou is a regular fixture in the Chelsea FC lineup and will hope to help the London club go one better than last season by winning the UEFA Champions League for the first time.

Cluj strike
The 23-year-old Ivory Coast international, who arrived at Stamford Bridge from Feyenoord in 2006, has already made his mark on Chelsea's bid for European glory this term by scoring in their 2-1 home victory against CFR 1907 Cluj in the group stage. He needed to show expert control to make the most of that chance, and now you can catch the player's own guide to controlling the ball in an exclusive masterclass on the UEFA Training Ground.

Star skills
In the first of a two-part Star Skills session, the forward runs through the do's and don'ts of ball control using the chest, thigh and feet, with the help of the Training Ground's resident expert Paul 'Woody' Wood. Click here to see the video and don't forget to return next Tuesday when Kalou will reveal more control tips.
