Panathinaikos FC won 2-0 at AEK Athens FC to secure top spot in the Greek Super League play-offs and a UEFA Champions League qualifying berth, with their opponents destined for UEFA Europa League qualifying.

Karagounis key
AEK began three points behind Panathinaikos at the start of play and were the better team in the opening minutes, going closest when Ismael Blanco struck a post. The game changed with half an hour gone, however, when AEK goalkeeper Diego Sebestian Saia brought Giorgos Karagounis down in the area and the striker himself stepped up to score the resultant spot-kick. Six minutes later, Karagounis turned provider when he fed Ante Rukavina and the Croatian forward made it 2-0 from close range. Meanwhile, PAOK FC defeated Larissa FC in Thessaloniki courtesy of a solitary goal by Ilias Anastasakos, with both sides already assured of UEFA Europa League qualification places next season.
