Ibrahimović strikes
José Mourinho's team struggled to create chances during a first half in which the visitors were arguably the better team, with Argentinian forward Mauro Zárate a constant threat. However, 13 minutes after the interval, Zlatan Ibrahimović dribbled past David Rozenhal and drilled in his 21st goal of the season to draw level with Serie A's leading scorer, Bologna FC's Marco Di Vaio. With 20 minutes to go, the Sweden striker again found space in the centre and delivered a great ball to Sulley Muntari, who made it 2-0 with a precise left-footed shot.
Reggina success
Bologna, meanwhile, failed to ease their relegation fears and remain in the drop zone after losing 2-1 at home against bottom side Reggina Calcio. Goals from Franco Brienza and Edgar Barreto either side of half-time earned Reggina only their second win of 2009 and left them level on points with second-from-bottom US Lecce and only three points shy of Torino FC and safety. Vangelis Moras's late goal proved to be scant consolation for Bologna.
