Inzaghi opener
Filippo Inzaghi got the Rossoneri started with 27 minutes gone, the evergreen striker shaking off his marker to bury the ball after good work from team-mate Kaká. Inzaghi then missed a fantastic chance to double the advantage, heading wide with the goal at his mercy, but Milan were not to be denied and eventually struck again through Kaká six minutes into the second half. The Brazilian finished from close range after a David Beckham header had been parried to seal Milan's fifth consecutive win.
Late equaliser
Juve have now gone five games without victory, in contrast, but they looked set to return to winning ways after efforts from Pavel Nedvěd in the 54th and 66th minutes gave them a 2-1 lead following Axel Cedric Konan's eleventh-minute opener for Lecce. José Ignacio Castillo equalised in the dying seconds, however, to move the visitors off the bottom of the table and within two points of safety with four games remaining.
European race
In the race for fourth and Italy's final UEFA Champions League berth, ACF Fiorentina defeated Torino FC 1-0 and remain a point clear of Genoa CFC, 3-1 victors at home to UC Sampdoria thanks to Diego Milito's hat-trick. Meanwhile, AS Roma's hopes of a top-four finish took another blow as they could only draw 0-0 at home with AC Chievo Verona. Behind the capital outfit, US Città di Palermo climbed up to seventh by overcoming Cagliari Calcio 5-1 to leapfrog the Sardinian side, while AC Siena saw off SSC Napoli 2-1 and Fabio Quagliarella scored twice as Udinese Calcio beat Atalanta BC 3-0.
