FC Santa Coloma made amends for missing out on the Primera Divisió title by claiming the Andorran Cup with a 6-1 final victory over FC Lusitans.
Commanding lead
Despite the likes of Ricardo Fernández, Xavi Andorrá and Luis Teixeira being left out of the Santa Coloma lineup, Vicenç Marquès's team enjoyed a straightforward victory after a strong start to the game. Juliá Sánchez struck the first when his delicate chip found its way over Lusitans goalkeeper Iván Perianes. Just before the half-hour mark it was 2-0 when Sánchez turned provider for Norberto Urbani 'Beto' to score. Sánchez was in the thick of things again before the break when he netted his second of the game.
Final compensation
Having recently finished the league campaign two points behind rivals UE Sant Juliá, Marqués's men were determined they were not going to end the season empty handed and they continued to attack after the interval. It came as no surprise when they registered a fourth through Maicon dos Santos while Beto then got his name on the scoresheet for a second time. Lusitans managed a late consolation before Rodrigo Guida scored the game's final goal.
