Nervy finale
Regarded as favourites to win the title in pre-season, the capital city side finished a disappointing sixth in the ten-team table, a full 16 points adrift of champions NK Maribor, but made amends with a cup final win at the latter's Ljudski Vrt Stadium. Forward Robert Berič broke the deadlock five minutes before the break and Ermin Rakovič made it 2-0. Mitja Viler struck back for Koper in the 76th minute but their attempts to press for an equaliser were thwarted as the club formerly known as NK Factor clung on to earn a place in qualifying for next season's UEFA Europa League.
