Georgia forward Beka Gotsiridze is recovering in hospital after being seriously injured in a car crash while driving to Tbilisi.
Injuries
The 21-year-old, a recent €1m signing by Ukrainian club FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk from FC Zestafoni, was involved in an accident while driving into the Georgian capital from a nearby village. Reports suggest the 12-time international's life is no longer at risk, although national team doctor Dmitri Zaalishvili could make no confident predictions about his future. He said: "His spleen was damaged and had to be removed. Now we are monitoring his other organs. It will be a few days before we can make any predictions about his footballing career. I hope everything will be OK and he will be able to go back to normal life."
