France will step up their preparations for the UEFA WOMEN'S EURO 2009™ when they meet at Clairefontaine for the first of three pre-finals training camps on 15 July.

Duo excused
The players have been on holiday since coach Bruno Bini named his 23-woman squad for the finals in Finland on 11 June but will be put through their paces over four days at the national training centre next week. Sonia Bompastor and Camille Abily will be excused as they play in the United States for Washington Freedom and Los Angeles Sol respectively, their places taken by Laure Lepailleur and Sonia Haziraj.

Training programme
Each player will be given an individual training programme which they must follow while on club duty before the party reconvenes at Clairefontaine from 28 July for another six-day camp, punctuated by a friendly against Japan on 1 August in Montargis. France then meet Scotland in Chartres on 16 August to mark the end of a third and final get-together before the team departs for Finland, where they begin their campaign against Iceland on 24 August. Germany and Norway complete Group B.
