Increased options
Duff joins the west London club for an undisclosed fee and has signed a three-year contract which will keep him at Craven Cottage until the summer of 2012. Hodgson was pleased to announce news of the Republic of Ireland international's signing ahead of Thursday's UEFA Europa League play-off, first leg tie at home to FC Amkar Perm of Russia. "I have known Damien for over a decade since he broke into the first team at Blackburn when I was manager," said Hodgson. The 30-year-old Duff, who spent three seasons at Newcastle, added: "Fulham had a fantastic season last year and I know that, having spoken to the manager in recent days, the club's ambitions remain high."
