Arjen Robben scored twice on his debut for FC Bayern München as Louis van Gaal's side won for the first time this season, 3-0 at home to champions VfL Wolfsburg.

Robben double
The 25-year-old winger only completed his transfer from Real Madrid CF on Friday, but he wasted no time in making his presence felt after coming on at half-time for Hamit Altıntop. The Dutchman struck his first on 68 minutes after combining well with Franck Ribéry to double Bayern's lead after Mario Gómez had put the home side in front on 27 minutes. Another slick move involving Ribéry resulted in Robben adding another with ten minutes remaining to hand the champions their second successive defeat. Victory took Bayern up to seventh, five points behind early pacesetters Bayer 04 Leverkusen, who continued their excellent start to the season with a 2-1 win at home to VfL Bochum 1848 to go three points clear at the top after four matches.

Kiessling winner
After opening the season with a draw against 1. FSV Mainz 05, Leverkusen have now won three straight, with Stefan Kiessling hitting the winner against Bochum with his league-leading fourth goal of the season. Diego Klimowicz opened the scoring for the visitors on 32 minutes only for Leverkusen to hit back through Manuel Friedrich four minutes from the break, before Kiessling scored in his fourth straight Bundesliga match to make sure of the points on 68 minutes. Second-placed Hamburger SV will look to move level at the top with Leverkusen when they host 1. FC Köln on Sunday.

Schalke slip
FC Schalke 04 missed the chance to keep pace with the early leaders when they were surprisingly beaten for the first time this season, 1-0 at home to SC Freiburg. South Korean international Du-Ri Cha got the only goal five minutes before half-time. UEFA Champions League hopefuls VfB Stuttgart also dropped points after being held 0-0 at home to 1. FC Nürnberg. In the day's other results, Eintracht Frankfurt drew 1-1 at home to BV Borussia Dortmund and TSG 1899 Hoffenheim won for the first time this season, 1-0 at Hannover 96. VfL Borussia Mönchengladbach are fourth after winning 2-0 at home to Mainz on Friday night, when the visitors fell to their first defeat of the season.
