FC Spartak Moskva have offset the departure of Rafael Carioca on loan to CR Vasco da Gama with three additions of their own, Marek Suchý, Nikola Drinčić and Nikolay Zabolotnyy all joining the Premier-Liga runners-up.

Lofty ambitions
News of these three arrivals comes on the same day as Brazilian Rafael Carioca returned to his homeland to join Vasco de Gama for the next 12 months. Though Suchý, twice a 1. Liga winner with SK Slavia Praha, also moves on an initial year-long loan, Spartak have the option to make the transfer permanent.

Group-stage berth
The 21-year-old defender bolsters a side assured a place in the 2010/11 UEFA Champions League group stage after their second-place finish in last year's Premier-Liga. Joining Suchý are FC Amkar Perm's Montenegrin international midfielder Drinčić, who has signed a long-term deal, and FC Zenit St. Petersburg reserve goalkeeper Zabolotnyy.
