S.S. Lazio's hopes of climbing five points clear of the relegation zone in Serie A were dashed in added time as Keirrison struck an equaliser for ACF Fiorentina in a 1-1 draw at the Stadio Olimpico.
The capital club, fourth from bottom in the standings, had led since the seventh minute when Sebastiano Siviglia's inspired back-heeled volley from a corner found the net and appeared set to claim just their second win in eight league games until Keirrison replied from close range two minutes into stoppage time – his first goal since joining on loan from FC Barcelona. AS Livorno Calcio can draw level with the Biancocelesti if they triumph at home to basement side AC Siena on Sunday.
In the day's other game, Calcio Catania boosted their survival chances with a 4-0 defeat of AS Bari, the visitors' fifth loss in six league matches. The Sicilian side got off to the perfect start when, four minutes in, Adrián Ricchiuti drilled a left-footed shot into the bottom corner. Fellow Argentinian Cristian Llama (40) doubled the lead, although it was not until the closing stages that Siniša Mihajlović's team gave the scoreline a more emphatic appearance. Ten minutes after coming on, Takayuki Morimoto (81) finished off a pass from Mariano Izco with an angled drive, while in added time Jorge Martínez added a fourth after dribbling past three defenders. Catania move up to 15th, four points clear of trouble.
