PSV go through the gears

PSV Eindhoven remain top of the Eredivisie after beating bottom-of-the-table RKC Waalwijk 5-1, but FC Twente are still hot on their heels thanks to a 2-1 victory over NEC Nijmegen. Danny Koevermans scored twice in PSV's triumph, ensuring that Fred Rutten's charges maintained their unbeaten record in the league. Steve McClaren's Twente are just a point adrift of the summit, however, Luuk de Jong and Bryan Ruiz scoring their goals against NEC. AFC Ajax triumphed 4-0 against FC Utrecht but are seven points off the pace in third.
