Second-half goals from David Goodwillie and a Craig Conway double ensured Dundee United FC ended their centenary season with a comfortable 3-0 victory over Ross County FC in the Scottish Cup final.

After an uneventful first half, the game sprang into life on 61 minutes when County goalkeeper Michael McGovern raced to the edge of his area to head clear only to find Goodwillie, who expertly lifted the ball into the unguarded net. Fourteen minutes later, Goodwillie turned provider, his neat header freeing Conway to slot calmly past McGovern. The midfielder then scored his second four minutes from time, controlling Morgaro Gomis's flick and arrowing a shot into the bottom corner.

"To score two goals in a cup final was unbelievable," said Conway, the man of the match. "It was a nervy first half, but once we got the first goal we started to settle. To win the Scottish Cup means so much to me and I'm just delighted to have played my part in securing Dundee United's first cup victory in 16 years."
