Luka Modrić has committed his future to Tottenham Hotspur FC by signing a new six-year contract that ties him to White Hart Lane until 2016.

Signed from NK Dinamo Zagreb in summer 2008, the Croatia midfielder scored three times in 25 Premier League appearances in the 2009/10 season as Spurs finished fourth in England to earn a spot in the UEFA Champions League play-offs. "Tottenham Hotspur gave me my chance in the Premier League and I want to go on to achieve great success here with them," said Modrić, 24.

"Yes, there have been enquiries from other big clubs, but I have no interest in going anywhere. Last season's top-four finish was an indication of where we are as a club and I feel I can continue to improve and go on to achieve everything I want to at Spurs." Carlo Cudicini and Ledley King have also signed new terms since the end of the season.
