The Nations Cup – a four-team international tournament to be contested by the Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales – will kick off in February 2011 at the Dublin Arena.
The match dates and venue for the competition's inaugural edition have been announced, showing a total of six games involving the four British Isles neighbours, all to be played at the recently opened stadium in the Irish capital.
The tournament will take the shape of a mini-league, with the first two matches being staged at the Dublin Arena on 8 and 9 February. The concluding four games are then scheduled for the week starting Monday 23 May.
The managers of the Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland and Scotland were present at the fixture draw. The competition gets under way on Tuesday 8 February when Wales take on Giovanni Trapattoni's Ireland side. Northern Ireland will face Scotland the following day.
The Nations Cup will be the first senior international tournament hosted in the Republic of Ireland. The state-of-the-art Dublin Arena, which was officially opened last May, will also stage the UEFA Europa League final on 18 May 2011.
