Olympique Lyonnais are out of the Coupe de France after suffering a 1-0 loss away against fellow Ligue 1 side OGC Nice, while holders Paris Saint-Germain FC prevailed 3-2 at SU Agen.

The only last-32 tie featuring two top-flight sides proved a tight affair, due in no small part to a string of fine saves by Lionel Letizi in the Nice goal. His efforts gave his team-mates a platform to build on and they finally took advantage in the opening period of extra time, Nemanja Pejčinović's headed pass from a corner allowing former Lyon right-back François Clerc to stab in the winner. A second yellow card for Dejan Lovren soon afterwards further hindered the visitors' cause.

Lyon were the only Ligue 1 team to fall on Sunday as the rest of the elite contenders progressed, PSG ending the dreams of fifth-tier Agen in the process. Agen's fellow amateur side ES Wasquehal lost 1-0 at neighbours LOSC Lille Métropole, meanwhile, and FC Vaulx-en-Velin were beaten 2-0 by Stade Rennais FC, with FC Metz seeing off Ligue 2 rivals CS Sedan Ardennes 1-0.
