Raúl on target as Schalke oust Bayern

Raúl González headed in the only goal as FC Schalke 04 ended FC Bayern München's defence of the German Cup in the semi-finals while in the FA Cup, Nicklas Bendtner scored a hat-trick in a 5-0 win for Arsenal FC.

Raúl, unmarked, turned the ball in from close after Benedikt Höwedes had headed Jefferson Farfán's corner towards goal on 15 minutes. Schalke will face MSV Duisburg, who on Tuesday overcame fellow 2. Bundesliga side FC Energie Cottbus, in their first final since losing to Bayern in 2005.

Coupe de France holders Paris Saint-Germain FC required extra time to defeat Ligue 2 outfit Le Mans UC 72 2-0. Both sides were down to ten men when Jean Christophe Bahebeck (109) broke the deadlock for the capital club. Neeskens Kebano, 18, added a second three minutes from time.
