AC Milan missed out on the chance to move seven points clear at the Serie A summit after being held to a 1-1 draw at home against AS Bari.

It was the Rossoneri who were relieved to settle for a point, though, after Bari old boy Antonio Cassano cancelled out Gergely Rudolf's 39th-minute opener eight minutes from time, following the dismissal of Zlatan Ibrahimović (73).

Milan are five points clear of FC Internazionale Milano, who also drew 1-1 on Friday, while SSC Napoli are a further point adrift following a 3-1 victory against ten-man Parma FC. Udinese Calcio are three points behind the Partenopei after another impressive away performance.

The Friulani were 4-0 winners at Cagliari Calcio as Antonio Di Natale scored twice, while another club captain, AS Roma's Francesco Totti, settled the Rome derby with two goals of his own (70, 90) to lift the Giallorossi to within two points of fifth-placed S.S. Lazio.

Elsewhere, there were 1-0 wins for Bologna FC, ACF Fiorentina, Genoa CFC and Calcio Catania against US Lecce, AC Chievo Verona, US Città di Palermo and UC Sampdoria respectively.
