Serie A side Parma FC have dismissed coach Pasquale Marino after the Ducali lost 2-1 at home to bottom-side AS Bari on Sunday.
Marino, 48, left Udinese Calcio for Parma last summer but collected just seven points in his last ten league games with the club. "This was a tough decision for us," said the club's managing director Pietro Leonardi. "We are looking for harmony, it is a difficult moment for us and we have to respect our supporters. We were in a good position and then we threw everything away and made our life complicated."
Parma are fifth from bottom in Serie A, two points above the relegation zone. The club, who thanked Marino "for his hard work and his behaviour", are yet to announce a replacement.
