Ligue 1 leaders LOSC Lille Métropole remain on course for a domestic double after winning 2-0 at OGC Nice to book their place in the French Cup final on 14 May.

Eden Hazard combined with Ludovic Obraniak to put Lille ahead just before the interval, before Gervinho beat the offside trap to hit the visitors' second moments after the restart. Les Dogues, without a major honour since lifting their fifth French Cup in 1955, will face the winner of Wednesday's meeting between second-tier SCO Angers and holders Paris Saint-Germain FC in the Stade de France final.

Meanwhile, FC Internazionale Milano will take a one-goal advantage into their Coppa Italia semi-final second leg after overcoming AS Roma 1-0 at the Stadio Olimpico. Dejan Stanković, with his ninth goal of the season, beat Doni with a trademark long shot on the stroke of half-time to give the Italian Cup holders – who have played the Giallorossi in five of the last six finals – the edge ahead of the San Siro return on 11 May. Roma had squandered their best chance in the ninth minute when Mirko Vučinić missed from close range. AC Milan host US Città di Palermo in the other semi-final opener on Thursday.

Elsewhere, MŠK Žilina will play ŠK Slovan Bratislava in the Slovak Cup final next month after the two sides prevailed in their semi-final deciders. Reigning champions Žilina could afford to lose 1-0 at FC ViOn Zlaté Moravce having won the home leg 3-0. Slovan required a 3-2 victory on their travels to get past FC Spartak Trnava, following the teams' 2-2 first-leg draw. The capital club now have the opportunity to retain the trophy they landed for a fourth time in 2010.
